This is the last Will and Testament of me
William Barnes of Oxted in the County of Surrey Gentleman (that is
to say) I desire and direct that all my just Debts and funeral
Expences be paid and satisfied out of my residuary Estate
hereinafter bequeathed I give and devise unto Robert Prikler the
Elder of Oxted aforesd ffarmer All that my ffreehold Cottage or
Tenement with the Orchard Garden Hereditaments and Appurtenances
thereunto belonging situate and lying at Oxted aforesaid and now in
my own occupation To hold the same to him the said Robert Prikler
his heirs and Assigns for ever I give and bequeath unto John Prikler
the Elder of Godstone in the County of Surrey Labourer the Sum of
three hundred pounds three per cent consolidated Bank Annuities for
his own use and benefit I give and bequeath unto my God daughter
Elizabeth Stripe the Sum of ten pounds to Thomas Hook late of
Chevening in the County of Kent Labourer ffive pounds and to William
Keadle of Eynesford in the said County of Kent ffive pounds I give
and bequeath unto Robert Prikler the younger Son of the before
mentioned Robert Prikler the Sum of One hundred pounds due and owing
to me from the Surrey and Sussex turnpike trust and all assignments
of the Tolls .... or other Securities which I hold for Securing the
same together with all Interest which shall be due thereon at the
time of my decease or shall thereafter accrue & be paid to him when
he shall attain the age of twenty five years But in case of his
decease before attaining such age Then I give and bequeath the said
Principal Sum of one hundred pounds And all Interest then due and to
....thereon as aforesaid together with the said Securities ... and
amongst John Prikler the younger James Prikler Harriot Prikler and
Mary Prikler Sons and Daughters of the before mentioned John Prikler
the Elder in equal shares and proportions to be paid to them him or
her at their respective ages of twenty one years and in case of the
death of any or either of them the said John Prikler the younger
James Prikler Harriot Prikler and Mary Prikler before their
respective shares and Interest shall become payable The I give and
bequeath the share or shares of such or more of them so dying unto
and amongst the Survivors and Survivor of them at the same time
their his or her Original shares or share would have become payable
And in case there shall be but one such who shall live to attain the
said age of twenty one years Then I give and bequeath unto such only
one the said sum of One hundred Pounds and all Interest then due or
to become due thereon And as to all the rest residue and remainder
of my real and personal Estate and Effects of every kind and
description whatsoever and wheresoever Subject to the payment of my
Debts and legacies given by this my Will I give devise and bequeath
the same and every part thereof unto the said Robert Prikler the
Elder of Oxted aforesd ffarmer To hold to him his heirs Executors
Administrators and Assigns for ever And I do hereby Nominate
constitute and appoint Robert Prikler the Elder of Oxted aforesd
sole Executor of this my Will And I hereby revoke all former Wills
by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In
Witness whereof I the said William Barnes the Testator have to this
my will contained in two sheets of paper set my hand to the first
sheet hereof and my hand and seal to this second and last Sheet
thereof this twenty fifth day of May in the Year of our Lord One
thousand Eight hundred and fourteen Wm Barnes
