The Will of Joseph Barker

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Barker of Greasby in the County of Chester Inn-Keeper made and published this eleventh day of December in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand and eight Hundred and Ten in manner and form following that is to say I do hereby make liable to and chargeable with All and every my Personal Estate whatsoever my due Debts Funeral Expences and the Charges of the Probate of this my Will Then so Liable and Chargeable I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife Hannah Barker All and every my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever for and during her natural life for her own use and Maintainance she making no waste or destruction of the same Then at her death and decease I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Ellin Harrison the Wife of William Harrison and Martha Littelmore Wife of Booth Littlemore the Sum of Seventy Pounds each of them to be paid within Six Months after the Death & decease of my said Wife Hannah Barker Then I give and bequeath unto my son in Law William Roberts the sum of one shilling and him nor his to be no further concerned in the matter Then I give and bequeath all the rest and residue and Remainder of my Goods Cattells and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever to my only Son Joseph Barker To hold to him his Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever I hereby nominate constitute and make Thomas Guile of Newton cum Larton in this County of Chester And my said Son in Law William Harrison Executors of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set and put my Hand and seal the day and year first within written

The third day of June one thousand eight hundred and eleven Thomas Guile and William Harrison the Executors of this Will named were sworn in common form and they further made oath that the personal estate and effects of the Testator within the diocese of Chester were under the value of one hundred pounds
 
The testator died the 16th December 1810
