The Will of William Baker

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Baker of Slep in the Parish of Arne in the Isle of Purbeck in the County of Dorset Yeoman Made the Twenty Second day of December in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty First I Will that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences be paid and discharged by my Executor hereinafter named I Give unto my Nephew Thomas Baker of ...itch my leasehold Estate called Pitter if Living for and during so many Years of the Term therein as shall Run out and Expire during the Term of his Natural Life and from and immediately after his decease I Give my said Leasehold Estate called Pitter to my Nephew William Baker of Middleburgh for and during so many Years of the Term therein as shall Run out and Expire during the Term of his Natural Life and from and immediately after his Decease I Give the Leasehold Estate called Pitter unto my Nephew George Baker of Leasow for and during the then remainder of the Term therein I Give unto my Nephew Christopher Baker one half Living called Yates Living for and during the Term therein I Give unto my Nephew Joseph Baker of Slep aforesaid my plot of Ground called Slatchard Close containing....for and during the Term therein. I also Give to my Nephew Joseph Baker the Sum of Fifty Pounds to be paid to him by my Executor I Give unto my Nephew Christopher Baker of Slep aforesaid the Sum of One Hundred and Fifty Pounds to be paid to him by my Executor I Give also to my said Nephew Joseph Baker......I Give unto my Niece Sarah Darby of Child Green the Sum of Ten Pounds to be paid to her by my Executor I Give unto my Niece Martha Baker of Slep aforesaid the Sum of Ten Pounds to be paid to her by my Executor I Give unto my said Nephew Christopher Baker the further Sum of One Hundred Pounds in Trust that is to say Fifty Pounds part to be paid to him by William West son of my Nephew William West late of Fitzworth deceased and the other Fifty Pounds part to be paid by him in equal shares to the two Daughters of my said Nephew William West deceased which said several Sums or Shares are to be paid to them Severally and respectively as they shall attain their Several and Respective of Twenty One Years and in the mean time the Interest of the said One Hundred Pounds to be Used and Employed for their Use and Benefit at the discretion of the said Joseph Baker All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattells and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever (not herein before disposed of) I Will unto my said Nephew Thomas Baker And I do hereby Nominate and Appoint my said Nephew Thomas Baker sole Executor of this my Will and I do hereby Revoke and make Void all other Will and Wills heretofore made I the said William Baker the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year aforesaid
