The Will of Slade Baker

 

In the Name of God Amen I Slade Baker Clerk Rector of Burscot in the County of Berks do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following I give and bequeath to my Nephew Robert Baker of Bristol and to my Nephew George Danbury of Cote in the County of Gloucester Esquire the sum of Eight hundred pounds in the five per cent Navy Annuities In trust during the term of the natural life of my Brother William Baker Clerk in case he shall not sell assign dispose of alienate anticipate or incumber the same or agree to sell  dispose of alienate anticipate or incumber the same or any part thereof to apy or cause to be paid into the proper hands of my said Brother William Baker only for his own proper use and benefit and not to the hands of any other person or persons whomsoever the interest dividends and annual proceeds to arise and become payable in respect of sum of Eight hundred pounds five per cent navy annuities when and as the same shall be received And I expressly declare that the receipt of my said Brother for such interest and dividends shall be the only effectual receipt and discharge to my trustees or trustee from time to time so long as the same shall be payable to him by virtue of the trust aforesaid And from and after the decease of my said Brother William Baker or from and immediately after his selling assigning or disposing of or in any way anticipating or incumbering the said interest dividends and annual proceeds of the said sum of Eight hundred pounds in either of the said events I give and bequeath sum of Eight hundred pounds five per cent Navy Annuities to my Niece Augusta Elizabeth Joanna Innes Baker Daughter of my said Brother William Baker and her Assigns for ever I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my money plate my books furniture and all goods and effects of what nature or kind soever not hereinbefore given after payment of my just debts and funeral expences to my Sister Mary Baker her Administrators and Assigns And I do make nominate and appoint my said Sister Mary Baker and my Nephew Robert Baker Executors of this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one Slade Baker
