In the Name of God Amen On the Eight day
of August in the first year of the Raign of our Sovereign Lord
George the second by the grace of god King of Great Britain
France and Ireland Defender of the faith &C: I Isabell Bacon of
Whitehaven in the County of Cumberland Widow being in bodily
health and of sound perfect and Disposing mind and memory and
considering the Uncertainties of this Transitory life Doe for
avoiding Controversies after my Decease as much as in me Lyes
Doe make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in
manner and form following That is to say First I recomend my
soul to Almighty God that gave itt And my body I committ to the
Earth when itt shall please Almighty God to order And as
Touching and concerning all such wordly Estate as it hath
pleased God to lend me I give Bequeath and dispose of as
followeth, Imprimis I devise and Bequeath unto Barbara Barrow
daughter of John and Isabell Barrow the sum of fivety pounds
Item I give and Bequeath to Margrat Barrow the Dauther of John
and Isabell Barrow the sum of fivety pounds Item I give and
Bequeath unto Richard the son of Richard and Ann Benn the Sum of
One Hundred pound And all the residue of my personal Estate
whatsoever after my Debts and funerall Expences are paid and
discharged I give and Bequeath unto my two Neeses Isabel Barrow
and Ann Benn aforsaid full sole and Joynt Executors of this my
Last Will and Testament and I doe hereby revoke Disanul and make
void all other Wills and Testaments by me att any time
heretofore maid Ether in writing or Delivered in words
Declareing this only to be my Last Will and Testament In
Wittness whereof I the said Isabel Bacon hath hereunto sett my
hand and seal the day and year above written.
