In the Name of God Amen I WILLIAM AUTON of
Hornby in the County of York yeoman being weak in body but of sound
and perfect mind and memory praise be therefore given to Almighty
God for the same do make and ordaine this my present Last Will and
Testament in manner and form following that is to say First and
principally I commend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping
through the merits death and passion of my dear saviour Jesus Christ
to have full and free pardon of all my sins and to inherit
everlasting life and as to the disposition of all such temporal
esatate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose
thereof as followeth
Item I give and bequeath to my Brother JOHN
AUTON of ?Thirn? one Guinea
Item I give to KATHERINE AUTON daughter of
JOHN AUTON 10 shillings
Item I give to ANN BLADES daughter of RICHARD
BLADES 10 shilings
Item I give to my brother CHRISTOPHER AUTON 2
shillings and 6 pence
Item I give to my sister ANN HOLMES 2
shillings and 6 pence
Item I give to my sister MARY OUTHATE 2
shillings and 6 pence
Item I give to my sister ISABEL ELLERTON 2
shillings and 6 pence
Item I give to my sister ELIZABETH ALDERSON 2
shillings and 6 pence
Item I give to my sister KATHERINE BEAN 2
shillings and 6 pence
Item I give to my brother THOMAS AUTON of
Hornby all my estate at Hunton whatsoever lands and houseing real
and personal ... and to make him sole executor of this my Last Will
and Testament he paying all my debts and funeral expences In witness
whereof I have hereby set my hand and seal 11 May 1747
