Thurston Arrowsmyth of Haydocke in the County of Lancaster
yeoman being Sicke of body but of good & perfect memory thankes
bee to God doe make & ordaine this my Last will & testament in
manner & forme following
That is to say first & principally I
Comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God my onely maker
Trusting assuredly through the onely meritts of Jesus Christ my
Saviour to bee made p’taker of Life everlastinge And I Commend
my body to the earth (itsorigenall) to bee intered in the Parish
Church or Churchyard of Winwicke by my executor herein hereafter
named: And as for the disposeing of my worldly goods & p’sonall
estate wher’w’th God hath blessed mee my will & mind is as
followeth first that my debts funerall expenc’s & the charges in
& about ..... of this my Last Will & testam’t bee taken out of
the whole: After which done my will & mind is that the
remainder of my s’d goods & p’sonall estate be equally devided
into three partd the first parte whereof I give & bequeath unto
Ellen Arrowmyth my Loveing wyef: The seacond parte & third
parte theirof I give & bequeath unto Mary Arrowsmith & Ann
Arrowsmyth my daughters equally betwixt them: And I nominate &
appoint Edward Stockley of Ashton in the s’d county gent. Thomas
Shuttlesworth of Preston in the s’d county gent & my said
Loveing wyef Joynt Executors of this my Last & testam’t In
witnes wherof I the said Turston Arrowsmyth have herto putt my
hand & Sealle & published this my Last Will & testam’t the day &
yeare first above written Anno Domi 1670
