In the name of God
Amen I Gilbert Arrowsmith of Bold in the County of Lancaster,
yeoman being sicke in Body but of whole mind and [perfect memory
and understanding God be praysed do make and ordaine thie my
Last will and testament in manner and forme following first I
Commend mt Soule unto allmighty God my Redeemer and my body to
the earth to be Intered as my executors hereafter named shall
think fitting Item I will that all such Debts that I owe of
right to any p(er)son or p(er)sons be well and truly payd out of
my goods and personall estate by my exec(u)t(o)rs hereafter
named And after my Debts are payd and funerall expenses are
performed I will and bequeath to my son Richard Arrowsmith my
beste Coate and then ten shillings in full satisfaction of his
Child’s p(ar)te of portion or any other demand whatsoev(e)r I
will and bequeath to my son Bryan Arrowsmith one peare of
bedstocks Corteins and valenes in the Chamber where I now lye
one great Coffer at my house in the Butterry and one in the shop
to the use of his daughters Alice and Susan Arrowsmith I will
and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Banner the bedstockes I now lye
on and two peare at my house in Bold and two Chesses the was her
Mothers And the rest of my goods remaining over and above my
funerall expences and Debts I give betweene my son Bryn and my
Daughter Ann Banner to be equally devided betwixt them And
whereas I have reserved the sum of twenty pounds to be payd out
of my tenem(en)t by my Grandchild Gilbert Arrowsmith to be
disposed of by me at my best will as it may appeare by the
signent made by me lately for the settleing of my estate Item I
give unto Alice Arrowsmith elder Daughter of Bryan Arrowsmith my
sonthe sum of two pounds six shillings and eight pence and I
give to Susanah Arrowsmith her sister the sum of one pound
thirteene shillings & fower pence Item I give unto John Banner
eldest son of Ann Banner my daughter the sume of three pounds
And to the younger Children of Ann Banner my sayd Daughter I
give the sum of nine pounds to be equally devided amongst them
or to the survivor of them shire and shire lyke Item I give
unto Thomas Arrowsmith young son of Richard Arrowsmith the sum
of two pounds Item I give to Mary Arrowsmith his sister the sum
of two pounds All which sayd sums make the Just som of twenty
pounds And further if it shall happen that Thomas Arrowsmith
and Mary his sister or either of them shall happen to dye before
the sum of forty shillings or fower pounds shall come due to
them or either of them then it is my will and mind and I doe
hereby bequeath the same unto Alice Arrowsmith and Susanah
Arrowsmith to be equally devided between them And of this my
Last will and testament I make John Donbavand and Jonathan
Donbavand both of hopeing they will see this my Last will to be
performed
