In the Name of God Amen I Richard Arnold of Mickleham in the County of Surry Sawyer being of sound mind memory and understanding (praised be God for the same) do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) I desire in the first Place that all my Just Debts and funeral Expences be fully paid and satisfied I give and Devise unto my loving Wife Mary Arnold All that my Copyhold Messuage or Tenement called Hale House and with the Garden and Appurtenances to the same belonging situate lying and being in the Parish of Mickleham aforesaid and now in my own occupation To hold the said Messuage and Premises with their Appurtenances unto my said Wife Mary and her Assigns for and during the Term of her natural life and from and immediately her decease I give and devise the same Messuage and Premises with their Appurtenances unto my Son William Arnold To hold the same unto him my said Son his Heirs and assigns for ever and I give and bequeath unto my said wife Mary all and singular my Household Goods and Chattels Plate & Linen China and Personal Estate and Effects of what nature or kind soever the same may consist of at the time of my decease To hold the same and every Part thereof unto her my said wife Mary her Executors Administrators & assigns as and for her and their own Proper and absolute Goods and Chattels for ever and lastly I do hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint my said wife Mary Sole Executrix of this my Will and do revoke and make void all former and other will and wills by me at any time heretofore made declaring this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Nineteenth Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four Richard Arnold
