In the Name of God Amen I
John Arnold of the Parish of Dorking in the
County of Surry Husbandman being in perfect
health and of Sound mind memory and
understanding but considering the uncertainty of
this transitory life do make publish and declare
this my last Will and Testament first and
Principally I resign my Soul into the hands of
Almighty God that gave it and do commit my body
to the earth to be decently buryed at the
discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and
as to such Worldly Estate as it hath pleased God
to bless me with I dispose thereof as follows I
Give and devise unto my loving Mother Ruth
Arnold for and during her natural life if she
shall so long continue a Widow as she now is all
those my Messuage or Tenement Outhouses Lands
Hereditaments and Estate which I am now Seized
of and intitled unto situate lying and being in
the several Parishes of Dorking aforesaid and
Mickleham in the said County of Surry and now in
the Occupation of Mr Jonathan Tyers or his
Undertenants and from and after the decease of
my said Mother or her intermarriage which shall
first happen then I Give and devise the same
Messuage Lands Estate and Premises above
mentioned unto my Brother William Arnold now
living in Banstead in the said County of Surry
and to his heirs and Assigns for ever I Give and
bequeath unto my said Mother all and every part
of my Personal Estate and I appoint her
Executrix of this my last Will hereby revoking
and making Void all former Will or Wills
declaring this Writing only to be my last Will
and Testament In Witness whereof I the said John
Arnold hath to this my said Will set my hand and
Seal this twenty second day of November in the
Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
sixty five The mark and Seal of John Arnold
