This is the last Will and Testament of me, Ann Archbell, of the City of York, Widow,.  I give devise and bequeath to my brother in law Matthias Denison of Swinton in the parish of Masham and County of York all my goods chattels and personal estate wheresoever and of what kind soever and subject to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses.  Item:  I give to the three children of my nephew Thomas Thompson of Hall Morrison, Robert, Ann and Mary each two guineas to be paid three months next after my decease and lastly I constitute and appoint the said Matthias Dennison sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills by me made.  In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal the eleventh day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three.  Ann Archbell (X) her mark.  Signed, sealed, publisht (sic) and declared by the Testatrix, Ann Archbell as her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses in her presence and the presence of each other at her request.
