The Will of Samuel Appleby

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Samuel Appleby of no 11 North Crescent Mews St Pancras in Middlesex wheelwright.  I give to my wife Elizabeth Ann for her sole use and benefit subject only to the payment and discharge of my just debts and funeral expenses all the property whatsoever and wheresoever that I die possessed of or entitled to.  And I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Elizabeth Ann sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament given under my hand and seal this the seventh day of August one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven – Samuel Appleby senior – in the presence of he undersigned and of each other

 Proved on 29th October 1870 at the Principal Registry by the oath of Elizabeth Ann Appleby, the widow the relict of the said deceased, the sole Executrix, she having been first sworn duly to administer.

 

NOTES: 

 

Samuel Appleby was baptised 30 Sept 1798 in Peterborough, the son of Samuel and Jane.

He married Elizabeth Ann Watkins and although their eldest two children were born in Northants, their next nine children were born in London. 

Samuel died on 22 Nov 1869 and his wife Elizabeth died some time before 1881.
