The Will of Jane Anning

 

I Jane Anning of Burton Bradstock in the County of Dorset Widow do make and publish my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give and bequeath to my Executors hereinafter named the sum of Thirty Pounds Upon Trust to be by them and the Survivor of them paid and applied to and for the benefit of my Grandson Joseph Green or for the benefit And advantage of any one or more of the Child or Children of him my said Grandson as they my said Executors or the Survivor of them shall in their or his discretion think proper. Also I give to Jacob Atkins the sum of five pounds. And to Joseph Atkins the sum of five pounds. And to James Atkins the sum of ten pounds. And to Jane Atkins the sum of ffifteen pounds And to Elizabeth Sarah Atkins the sum of five Pounds which said Jacob, Joseph, James, Jane and Elizabeth Sarah Atkins are the children of James and Phebe Atkins both deceased and are also my Grandchildren. Also I give to my Grand-daughter Jane Anning (daughter of John and Rachel Anning, both also deceased) the sum of Thirty Pounds which said several legacies I will shall be paid without Interest within four Months next after my death to such of my said Legatees as shall then have attained the age of twenty one years by my Executors hereinafter Appointed And as to such of them as shall not then have attained such age  I do hereby empower my Executors to pay and apply their said respective Legacies at such times for such purpose and in such manner as in their judgment and discretion shall seem most for the advantage of such Legatees or either of them notwithstanding their Minorities or Minority All the rest and residue of my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever (except the Cyder-Mill and Press with the Utensils belonging thereto which I give to my Son Robert and my Household Goods and Furniture Bed and Table Linen and Wearing Apparel which I give to my two daughters hereinafter mentioned after payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expences I do hereby give and bequeath to my Sons and Daughters Richard Anning Robert Anning Elizabeth the Wife of John Symes and Mary the Wife of Lawrence White Foss equally to be divided between then as Tenants in Common And I do hereby appoint Walter Eustace Gundry Banker and Stephen Hussey Cordwainer both of Bridport in the said County joint Executors of this my Will In Trust and for then purposes aforesaid In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty six
