The Will of Elizabeth Andrews

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Andrews of West Town within the Parish of Backwell in the County of Somerset Spinster which I make and publish for the disposal of all my worldly effects in manner following that is to say ffirst I will and direct all my just debts funeral expences and the expences of proving this my Will shall be paid by my Executrix hereinafter mentioned I give and bequeath unto my sister Ann Andrews of the City of Bath Spinster the sum of one hundred Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto my Cousins ffrances Sheppard of Backwell aforesaid widow the sum of fifty pounds Also I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Mary Preston Spinster daughter of John Wright Preston and Edith Preston of Stanton Drew in the said County the sum of fifty pounds which said three several legacies by me given I direct to be Paid by my Executrix hereinafter named within three months next after my death but in case my said Cousin Mary Preston shall die before the legacy by me herein before given and bequeathed to her shall vest and become payable then I do give and bequeath the said sum of fifty pounds unto my said cousin Mary Preston’s two nieces Ann Maria Preston and Elizabeth Preston by equal shares and proportions for their own respective use and benefit but in case either of them should happen to die before the said sum of fifty pounds should become payable then I do hereby give and bequeath the part or share of her so dying unto the survivor of them her executors or admors to and for her and their own use and benefit also I give and bequeath unto my sister Martha Andrews all the money that I have in the four per centum......annuities and now standing in my name in the Books of the Governor of the Bank of England To hold to her my said sister Martha her executors or administrators and for her and their own use and benefit lastly I do give and bequeath my part or share of and in the household goods and furniture plate linen china and books all my wearing apparel and all other my goods chattels personal estate and effects of what nature or kind soever which I am possessed of interested in or entitled unto at the time of my decease to my said sister Martha Andrews her executors or administrators and for her and their own use and benefit And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said sister Martha Andrews sole Executrix and residuary legatee of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Andrews have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper to the first side thereof set my hand and to the second and last side thereof set my hand and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and twenty four Elizabeth Andrews
