The Will of William Andrew

 

In the Name of God Amen The fourth day of ffebruary in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Seaven hundred and Seaven I William Andrew of Laighton Bussard in the County of Bedford Yeoman being in good health and perfect memory I praise God for it yet being desirous to sett my House in order I doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following by this revoking all Wills by me formerly made Imprimis I committ my Soule to Allmighty God that gave it hoping through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ his only Son my Lord and Saviour to have full pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and my body to the Earth to be decently buryed according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And for my temporall Estate as the Lord hath intrusted me with I dispose as followeth ItemI give to my Cozen Edmund Sibley all the money that he oweth me Item I give unto my Cozen Henry Sibley halfe the money that he oweth me Item I give unto my Cozen Nathaniel Andrew and his Children all the money that is owing me upon Surrender and Copyhold Security and all the money that John Atwell oweth me by Bond to be equally divided amongst tham Item I give unto Joseph Astin all the money that he oweth me item I give unto my Cozen Mary Walker all the money and Goods that she hath of mine and I doe give my Cozen Mary Walker and her Son Thomas and her Daughter Roberta all that money that Robert Stanley oweth upon a Mortgage of his house and gound at Ledborne wherein he now dwelleth to be equally divided amongst them Item I give unto my Cozen Joyce Chantrell and her Children all the money that her husband Richard Chantrell oweth me upon a Mortgage and ten Pounds more of lawfull English Money Item I give unto my Cozen Sarah Bradford all that money that John Peele oweth me upon a mortgage of his Grounds lying in the parish of Potsgrave And I doe give unto my Cozen Sarah Bradford's Children all the money that John TheedGent oweth me to be equally divided amongst them Item I give unto my CozenSusannah fflint and her Children all the money that is owing upon two Mortgages of a House joyning to Wotton Churchyard in the County of Bedford wherein Joseph Hill and his Tenants now dwell Item I give untomy Cozen John Bachelder's Children twenty pounds apiece of lawful Englishmoney Item I give unto my Cozen John Bachelder the Elder all the rest of my Goods and Chattells Debts and Creditts not by this my Will before bequeathed nor given whome I doe make the sole Executor of this my lastWill and Testament upon Condition that he shall pay all my Debts and Legacies and ffuneral Expencs and prove my Will at London within onemonth next after my death or decease and give them the Writings that belong to the money that I have given and give them Letters of Attorneys at my Exor's own charge And if my Executor doe faile and not doe as I have ordered it by this my Will Then my Executor shall forfeit One hundred pounds more of lawfull English money to be paid to them that I have given Legacies to by equal summes
