This is the last Will & testament of me Ebenezer Aldred of Chertsy in the County of Surry Grocer being of sound & disposing mind memory & understanding I give and dispose of all my Worldly estate as follows ffirst it is my Will & desire that the ffreehold Land lately purchased by me of John Myers Esquire part of the Abbey Estate at Chertsey aforesaid shall be sold & disposed of either by Public Auction or Public Contract by my Exors hereinafter mentioned within twelve Months after my decease for the best price that can be got for the same & I give my said Exors full power & authority to convey the same to a Purchaser without my Heir at Law being a necessary party thereto & declare that the receipts of my said Exor shall be a good & sufficient discharge for the Purchase Money the nett Produce of which I give and bequeath unto my Nephews John Aldred & Zachariah Aldred for their own use & benefit now residing with me & to their Mother Sarah Aldred in three equal parts shares & proportions & as to my Stock in Trade Books Business & all the rest & residue of my Real & Personal Estate whatsoever & wheresoever that I shall be possessed of or entitled unto at the time of my decease I give devise & bequeath the same unto my two Nephews John Aldred & Zachariah Aldred for their own use & benefit that my said two Nephews should have to take & carry on the same together but charged & chargeable with the payment of all my just Debts ffuneral & Testamentary Expences & also with the following Legacies & bequests Vizt to the said Sarah Aldred their Mother a Legacy of twenty Pounds & To my Brothers Stephen Aldred James Aldred & Henry Aldred Ten Pounds each & to my Sisters Dennis Marshall Mary Aldred & Ann Harris the like sum of Ten Pounds each all of which said several Legacies it is my will & desire shall be paid in full by my Exors within twelve Months next after my decease free of Legacy Duty & all other deductions whatsoever And I do hereby nominate constitute & appoint my said Nephew John Aldred & my friend James Alexander of Chertsey aforesaid Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made declaring this to be my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty eighth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifteen Eben.
