His Grace the Duke of Leeds, Saint James Westminster 1730
In the Name of God Amen I
GEORGE ADINGALL of the parish of St James Westminster in the County
of Middlesex now Cook to his Grace the Duke of Leeds being sick and
weak of body but of sound and disposing mind and memory Praised be
God for the same Revoaking all other Wills and Testaments by me at
any time heretofore made I do make and declare these Presents to
Contain my Last Will and Testament that is to say First and
principally I committ my soul into the hands of Almighty God my
Creator hoping by the meritts and Mediation of my Blessed Saviour
and redeemer Jesus Christ to Obtain full pardon and forgiveness of
all my Sins and to Inherit Eternal Life in the Kingdom of heaven
with other the Elect Children of God (My Body I commit to the earth
to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter
named) And as for such temporal estate it hath pleased God to bless
me with in this world My debts and Funeral expences being first paid
and discharged I give and dispose thereof as followeth , that is to
say, I give my two sisters MARY FOLSTON and ELIZABETH SHAW one
shilling to each and to my three Brothers THOMAS WILLIAM and JOSEPH
ADINGALL one shilling to each And to my mother MARY ADINGALL one
half Guinea in Gold. The remainder rest and residue of all and
singular my Goods Chattells Money Plate debts and Estate whatsoever
my debts Legacies and Funeral expences being first paid and
discharged I wholly give and bequeath unto my Loveing Wife ELIZABETH
ADINGALL and I doe hereby make and ordain my said Loveing wife
ELIZABETH the sole and only Executrix of this my present last Will
and Testament Leaving it intirely at her own good will and
discretion to Give and distribute my wearing Apparel Linen and
Woollen unto and amongst my relations in part or in whole and to
such of them as she my said Wife shall of her own free Will and
Pleasure think proper and convenient In witnesses whereof I the said
GEORGE ADINGALL the Testator to this my Present Last Will and
testament have hereunto sett my hand and seal 27 July 1730 in the 4th
year of the Reign on George II ...
