Comments	I'm from Brooklyn, New York, and trying to trace my Hignell ancestors. I've gotten as far as Thomas Hignell, yeoman of Hengaston Farms, Henbury. He married Sarah Burroughs of Hill in 1812. Their son, Henry Hignell, was my 3rd great Grandfather. Using google.co.uk, I found a reference to a criminal trial in August 1759. A Thomas Hignell of Henbury prosecuted Abraham Smith for stealing two oxen. Would love to find out if there is any connection between these Thomas Hignells--the 1759 prosecutor and my 4th great grandfather.

Comments	Thank you for your invaluable site. Researching from New Zealand is proving to be a trial and learning curve, every step of the way. Everything costs, and with our exchange rate difference, it costs 3 times as much so it's lovely to come across your site. Thank you so much, the wills certainly make interesting reading. I have been trying to plough through the will of Richard Fisher Belward from 1803 , which I have downloaded from the Norfolk Archives Office, but I am really having trouble. I am researching my ancestors, and doing this from New Zealand is proving to be quite difficult. If anybody can assist with the will transcription, I would be most grateful.

Comments	Hello, I've just come across this website while researching the name PARCIVEL BELL, who was mentioned in the 1747 will of James Taylor of Carperby. Unfortunately I cannot contact "Marion" who provided the will transcription as I get a message informing me that "the default email program is not installed properly". I do not have any email program such as Outlook, so where do I go from here in order to contact Marion? Note: the same applies to when I try to contact the webmaster! I do wonder how many others have come across the same brick wall due to this (over-zealous?) security ... I'm sure there must be literally thousands every year! Comments	A very much needed site. Everyone can't get to England to search. Or hire someone. Would you happen to know the name of the author of a book on the Bevill's. I had it on film film at a FHLC library but lost it's title. It clears up the myth that William came Bevill came to America and changed Bevill to Buel.

I have the wills of both of them Robert died in 1818 and his brother in 1816 Richard Shawe prepared the case to defend Warren Hastings and is buried in Dulwich cemetery. I am trying to find out who their father was. As the name Fleetwood crops up among their childrens' names and i have found a Fleetwood Shawe died 1787 I am following this up as best I can! Comments	I read several of the transcribed wills. Folk had a wonderful and different approach as to the use of words back then and I find we have regretfully forgotten the art. I have anyway. I particularly enjoyed reading the will of John Brown of Wareham. He left property from the Isle of Purbeck, the area of my genealogical Brown ancestors. Comments	I have traced my ancestor Elias Batt 1783 back to Witham Friary, Somerset and his wife Mary Hu(gh)es 1793 - 1837 daughter of Robert Hu(gh)es 1760 - 1841. Elias' father was Alder Batt churchwarden in 1763 & 1780 and they farmed at The Gildings now known as Gibbons Farm. There are also Butlers from Witham Friary and Frome in my tree.
